- ABOUT DR. AANA SHAH

Dr. Aana Shah is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 5 years of experience, holding an MD in Psychiatry from B.J. Medical College, Ahmedabad (Gold Medalist) and a Clinical Post-Doctoral Fellowship in Women’s Mental Health from NIMHANS, Bangalore. She is also a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK (MRCPsych) as of 2025.

Her advanced training includes certifications in Trauma-Focused Psychotherapy (Dr. Shalini Anant), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) through the Swasti Institute affiliated with the Beck Institute, and Sexual Medicine under Allo Health (Dr. Sandip Deshpande).

Dr. Shah has extensive experience in managing both acute and chronic psychiatric illnesses through her work at leading mental health institutions. She has a special interest and expertise in women’s mental health, particularly perinatal psychiatry, addressing conditions such as postpartum depression, postpartum psychosis, postpartum OCD, and perinatal anxiety disorders.

Her clinical skills also extend to child and adolescent psychiatry, as well as the treatment of trauma-related disorders including complex trauma (cPTSD), PTSD, grief and bereavement, and eating disorders. Known for her empathetic and patient-centered approach, Dr. Aana Shah combines medical expertise with evidence-based psychotherapies to deliver holistic mental health care tailored to each individual’s needs.
